SONIC X SHADOW GENERATIONS

It's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ I need to pay full price when I already own Gens
I already own Generations and I just want to play Shadows's part but I'm forced to pay nearly 40 bucks on sale just to play a 5 hour campaign. Why does this game have overwhelmingly positive on steam? The new gens port is barley changed and dedicated fans who bought the previous version are basically getting scammed if they want to play the new content.

Because you're buying Shadow Generations which is a full game, Sonic Generations is basically a bonus dlc to Shadow Generations.

If you think that's all you're going to get then save your money and watch a 3 hour youtube video while holding a controller in your hand. The levels have a lot of depth and are highly replayable not even considering the unlockable super form and even the side challenge levels have surprising replayability plus there's the hub world full of challenges and collectibles to explore not even mentioning the already big modding scene.

It's not. Gens was it's own game before shadow.

My problem isn't that I don't think the new levels won't be replayable, it's that I have to pay for a game I already own again to play the new levels.

You're paying for Shadow Generations to play Shadow Generations and an updated version of Sonic Generations is included I don't see what the problem is here. if some place offered 2 for 1 movies would you be upset you're buying 2 movies when you only wanted 1?

I don't think you're understanding the "2 for 1" bit here. You're not buying 2 movies/games, you buying one and getting the other free.

I mean, Sonic Generations costed $50 at launch. And unlike Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury that basically tells us that Bowser's Fury is an additional game, Sonic X Shadow Generations tells us that the remaster of Sonic Generations is bonus content. You purchase Sonic X Shadow Generations mainly for Shadow Generations. Sega literally sells Shadow Generations as a new game. The bonus content from the deluxe edition even puts Shadow Generations in the spotlight more than Sonic Generations, artbook included

geee what a deal spend more money just because it comes with something i already have.
so rather than pay 20$ for something you pay 40$ for something new and something what you won't ever use because you already have it. DEAL OF DAY truely i bet when you gonna buy next new game you also will rebuy same game you already have lieying to yourself
oh i will pay more but i will get other one for free, even if thats complete ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ because its not free and entire point is to be enginire and surpasses actual price game should have.

its same way how bundles are made.

you want to buy game that cost lets say 10$ but you see it in bundle with other game for 20$ and that other game standalone cost 15$ so
even if you never gonna play it you getting bundle because it seems like better choice. even if it's not better choice and you just lying yourself wasting 5$ for something you don't need.

Also i run out of steam points for clown rewards so try as much as you want
and you will still get none.

You're still not getting it... you're not spending more on anything... Sonic Generations was $60 at launch and Shadow Generations is $50 dollars at launch. You're buying Shadow Generations and getting Sonic Generations for free I don't see what the problem is.

Anyone that thought Shadow Generations was going to be $30 or something is delusional especially when Forces is STILL $40.

If you want to pay for half of the bundle and not feel like you're paying for Sonic Generations again then wait for a half off sale.

I don't think you're understanding that they don't want to pay for 2 products when they already have one of them. They would naturally rather buy the one product they don't have.

I mean, even the menu where we pick the game favors Shadow Generations over Sonic Generations. Sure, Sonic Generations is selected by default because Shadow Generations is another side of the same story, but Shadow himself is always visible on that screen, unlike the two Sonics who vanish when you select Shadow Generations

No I get the "I don't want to pay for two things" principle but the fact of the matter is that Shadow is a new full game with a new full price, its not that hard to understand. The issue more seems to be "I'm getting less value than someone who doesn't already have sonic generations" and from there "value" and "worth" are entirely subjective and not *worth* getting into a debate.

Also if you pick Sonic Generations then it closes the main game Shadow Generations to open the side game Sonic Generations.
