Also Denuvo barely affects performance at all in my time of playing games with it, and I was able to play this game offline as well.
New SKU, new game, pay me peasant.
I do kinda agree but at the same time Gens is actually a pretty ♥♥♥♥♥♥ on PC as a port.
The difference was that Mario 3D World was stuck on the Wii U, and the rerelease on Switch was the only way to play it in current gen. Also it added a bunch of extra QoL improvements and online play and stuff, alongside the Bowser's Fury game.
Sega deliberately removed the ability to buy Sonic Generations standalone on Steam and force players to buy this collection to play Shadow Generations, and people who already have Sonic Generations can't just get Shadow Generations if they only want that. Also, the additions to Sonic Gens aren't really that huge to warrant even calling it a remaster, let alone wanting to buy it a second time.
I didn't have it already so I wasn't as sour, but I can definitely see where the annoyance comes from.
That's a weak argument about the questionable price of things.
"You think bread is to expensive? Buy less."
Reality of the matter is though, SEGA knows this game will probably be available at 50% off within a year, so they set a moderately high but below standard full price so that when they do discount it, it won't be a total loss. This shouldn't shock anyone, it's just how game prices work. I've gotten plenty of lesser games at $50 over the years including back when $50 was actually a standard full price game.
I love the game but they got two of those three, right.
Notice how one of the most common reports lately is that the sonic generation side can’t launch at all?
Takes a minute to search for and test them if you're having issues.
