SONIC X SHADOW GENERATIONS

Did anyone else notice how many similarities this game has to Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury?
This isn't dunking on the game (I absolutely loved it) but I thought it was kinda funny!
It's two games in one.
One of the games is a well liked older one with linear design.
The other is a new open world game using the same engine as the older game.
The newer game has black goo involved somehow.
The newer game's open world is connected through several islands.
You go through the water connecting the islands at high speeds.
Furries.
The game is overall fantastic.

I'm just saying, Sonic Team knew where to take notes from!

Don't forget the part where the new additions are likely prototypes of whats to come in the future.

You mean like how they’re both DLCs?

You keep using that word. I don't think you know what it means.

"using the same engine as the older game"

Minor nitpick, but Shadow is on a different engine than Sonic.

Sega have been following Nintendo's lead for a while now, though. Sonic Lost World, Sonic Frontiers, Sonic Superstars (though I guess that and Wonder came out at a similar time, hard to say who had the idea first), and now this. Since I don't play Nintendo games, it doesn't bother me, but I imagine if you play both series' it'd get kind of old after a while.

No because they Nintendon't sell their games here.

Its not a minor nitpick, shadow generations basically being frontiers gameplay while generations is closer to unleashed pretty much makes them two different games.
