I guess Sega wants to increase their ESG score. Maybe they hired a consultant firm like Sweet Baby Inc or Hit Detection, their job is to nitpick as many things as possible to censor. Or maybe their dev teams have been infiltrated by activists.

I think its more of a case of them wanting the design to remain consistent with the Rouge design we got in the shorts than actual censoring, if they wanted to censor her they could of done far worse like make her chest flat and make her chubby,

I just looked up Hit Detection's website and saw they did work with Sega on Sonic Frontiers. So they definitely must be working on Sonic X Shadow Generations, that would explain everything.

Imaging getting mad when safty rules get revision which happens all the time by the way.

Books get revision by the people who make them and that happens all the time sometimes people are not satisfied with their old stories and want to improve upon them.

It's also just a strange change that doesn't look right with the way they did it, since the back was bare partially because that's where her wings come out.

I'm not even convinced it was done as censorship, it just kind of looks like lazy texture work to me. Doesn't really matter in the end, I'm sure it'll be modded within days.

Aye that I agree with I also think it looks like just lazy texture work since she still has her bodonkers out also IDW she still has the back exposed and in dream team as well sonic rumble she's got the costume from murder of sonic where her midriff is bare. So censorship seems very unlikely.

Adds more work? It's pretty easy to just make someone back a single texture then remember to add extra texture to it.

Also the sonic rewites were needed meta era humor was not amusing.
