Is the sale price worth it?

I already have OG Generations, but I'm kinda interested in this remastered version with Shadow Generations. Is this game worth buying at the 25% off sale price, or should I wait till it's on super sale?

Yes its worth it! The shadow part of it makes it one of the best Sonic titles done

That's up to you. I bought it, but I do feel I paid a little more than I would have been comfortable with. 30% is fair if you value each stage at $5 and the white space open zone as another $5. But 25% is close. Note that there are six stages with acts 1 and 2, each stage has four challenges which restructure them and have rankings and collectibles, the open zone has content, and there are bosses.

If you don't already have Generations on PC then get it, if you played it on PS3 then you'll actually benefit from the "remaster."

Absolutely worth it. Shadow Generations is a game I can recommend to anyone who likes 3D platformers; beautiful level design, tight controls and lots of entertaining optional challenges. The Sonic Gens remaster is mostly just good for little QoL improvements like being able to change more settings in-game, tracking red star rings easier and making lives optional. The new chao hunting feature is kinda fun. It's nothing mind blowing but still a great way to replay the game.

IMO the regular price is worth it, even as both an owner of the original Generations and a huge skeptic of Sonic games in general.

Shadow Generations is easily the best Sonic game since Colors, and the best controls in a Sonic game uh. Ever.
