The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky TC release?
Hi guys.
I am in the last chapter of SC, almost done and wondering if Steam has decided to release the TC?
And I wonder if the TC is worth and fun to play.
Thanks

TC will be released sometime in 2017. If you haven't played cold steel that would be worth getting in the mean time. (Only on ps vita/ps3 sadly. No steam version.)

As for TC it should get released on steam. I don't see why it would not.

Obligatory "it's not TC it's the 3rd" post

The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky the 3rd is currently scheduled for release on PC in Spring 2017. As Xseed is an American company that is very literal about seasons, Spring refers to March-June.

It is a worthwhile game. Fairly different from other entries in the series, but this isn't an inherently bad thing.

I'd probably call it my least favorite of the games I've played (everything up to CS1), but a big part of that is probably because it's sandwiched right between my two favorites.

The 3rd is the best one of the series battle-wise with fun boss fights and "allstars" of characters while Zero and Ao were just a letdown even with the new systems. I'd call the 3rd Diablo of Kiseki series.

Well, to be completely honest, I'm not really enamored with the old engine's battle system. Cold Steel definitely made it one of my favorite combat systems, but in general I find the pace too slow in the older games and positioning (outside of a handful of big fights) too irrelevant.

On a related note, how much of the 3rd's story will be spoiled in Cold Steel? I'm about to start CS, thanks.
I liked the originals combat system more than cold steel if we do not include earth wall spam. Cold steel did make a lot of improvements and most of them were good. I really like arts determined by quartz elements rather than a spell list. Cold Steel also gave out waaaaaaaaaaaay to much cp.

Very little. 3rd is mostly background and church stuff. The only major spoiler between Cold Steel and the other games is the big Crossbell event from Ao/Zero, but it's not like it spoils much. You're spoiled for what happens, but not the who or why or how.

I agree, CS just lets you spam your S-craft way too much. The dumbed down quartz mechanics combined with the fact that every non field trip member gets unequipped makes it almost feel like they didn't want you to think about that stuff

Thank you, I'm loving CS so far.
Now that the 3rd (and CS II) translation is annouced and confirmed for release, I hope maybe maybe the Crossbell games will get translated too.

It seems pretty likely. Falcoms game's have been selling well on PC in the West, Ao/Zero already have PC ports, and XSEED is currently ranked as The Most Awesome Localizer On Earth.

Considering the way they announced The Third, I more or less take it as a given that Zero and Ao are in the works. Even if, at this moment, the contracts aren't quite done and everything isn't ready to go, that doesn't really matter. Because odds are they'll be ready to go soon enough.

Didn't they announce The Third with a joke about a priest and a nun on Twitter?

Technically, they teased the announcement that way :)

I more meant the way that about a year ago the word was "We'll have to see how SC and Cold Steel do", and then what happens? Barely six months after the release of these two games, The Third gets announced. Hopefully, The Third and CS2 do roughly as well; if they do, I think prospects are real good for Zero and Ao.
