As for Morishige, his voice actress does certainly sound... not very masculine while screaming. She couldn't quite get a male voice and a scream at the same time. Kakihara is probably a better choice for him overall.
I can testify that the developers invovled with this version had a giggle fit when this came up in testing.
Yeah, the indy voices aren't incredible, but at the same time they delivered a great performance for a group of non-professional seiyuu working with a game that at the time of developement, was in no way a common one. I like to think of this version of the game as our chance to experience this, while the 5pb versions are still out there to be enjoyed.
Although most of the acting in this was pretty decent tbh.
