PSP - Remake of the PC version by 5pb, adds CG cutscenes over the game's events, added professional voice acting (note I said pro, not objectively better), and new art assets which make the characters and sprites in the earlier chapters look better. Several Extra Chapters lacking from the PC version. This version was remade before Chapter 5 was completed so you will have a somewhat lacking experience storywise.
3DS - Definitive Remake Version by 5pb, includes the completed chapter 5 and all the Extra Chapters / Endings found in the previous two versions, plus a few extras. Really, this is the version you want for the full experience.
I recommned the 3DS and the PC versions. I recommend the PC version for people who want to experience the game while it was still an Indie Project. Sort of a "series history lesson" for the fans.
Personally though I enjoy the 3DS for all the artwork added, better sprites, and who can say no to two figurines of Naomi and Seiko if you get the back to school edition. :)
XSEED can't just make versions of someone else's game without their permission.
These things sometimes just take time. We don’t and can’t possibly know the whole story. For all we know GrisGris asked them specifically to port them original version. To assume XSEED didn’t try or that it was a matter of just negotiating harder is to take some massive leaps in assumption.
Also unlike some companies, throwing more money at it doesn’t always work.
It's called common sense dude. You're really stretching to pretend that any company at any time would look specifically for an inferior version on purpose.
There's every reason to assume they did, but if this is how you operate it sort of illustrates how pointless the conversation is.
Absolutely not, and this flies in the face of multiple blogs explaining how bad the original version was to port.
Basically all you have are a lot of assumptions looking for a negative that likely doesn't exist when the most logical explaination was already given to you.
Occam's Razor dude. The most likely answer is most often the correct one.
at this point, seeing all the rest of the new ones coming out, i certainly hope so, Blood Covered: ...Repeated Fear was what made the series so known and loved, not getting that on steam would be really sad imo
personally id say PSP edition. theres plenty of ways you can play it
