Damned
ImportError: No module named site
I installed python, reinstalled python, reinstalled Damned, restarted my computer, restarted steam, and nothing's working. I can't get the game to run. I'm getting the error "ImportError: No module named site".

Hello guys,

This is a know issue. the fix can be found here:

The game doesn't launch, it opens and close really fast!
Possible reason:
• Your computer is missing Python 2.7.5 (Yes, 2.7.5!!).

Possible solution:
• Install Python 2.7: http://www.python.org/ftp/python/2.7.5/python-2.7.5.msi

Please install Python 2.7.5 and this should fix your issue. We are working in order to fix this for once.

Thanks for your patience.
Sorry to be rude, but it's obvious you didn't read that I installed python. I found the fix, and you should probably include this somewhere in your FAQ of how to get the game working.

THE LINKED INSTALLATION OF PYTHON YOU HAVE LISTED IS THE 32 BIT, AND THIS HAS STOPPED MINE, AND OTHER'S 64 BIT COPIES FROM RUNNING. TO SUCCESSFULLY RUN THE GAME, 64 BIT USERS NEED THE 64 BIT INSTALLATION OF PYTHON.
I just used the stock one from the link - I had some random crashes during loading screen but for now everything is working!

How hard do you think it would be to google search the one you need? I'm on 64bit and the one thats linked on the crash post worked fine. He dropped the ball by not seeing that you installed it, but come on man.
I didn't mean the caps to be in a shouting/mad kind of way, just to highlight the point of my post. All I'm saying is it would be a good idea to either list that it's the 32 bit, or have links to both. Some people might get the wrong idea, thinking the game just doesn't work. They might tell others, and that would detract from sales of a game that I've been enjoying a hell of a lot.
I understand the amount of work that the team is putting in to get everything working, managing the steam forum of probably thousands of users trying to give input/report bugs, all the while making more updates/progress with the game. You've got nothing but my support! I'm really hoping to be engaged with the development of the game and to make this a really memorable title for a lot of people. :3 :D:
sorry to be a noob but just want to know what does the python app do?
