Can't click on anything when the game starts up

I'm having a seriously annoying issue where, when i load up the game, I can't click on anything to save my life. I cant log in, I cant click exit game, I cant do anything apart from waving my cursor around the screen. I've tried validating the cache, reinstalling the game, chaning resolution via the config files, and turned off fullscreen. No matter what I do, the problem persits. Any ideas?

Verify game files, takes 1min. Worked both times it did that for me.

Had that problem. Verified cache, worked once, broke again and now it just won't let me type....

Verify cache on Steam and reinstall Python, that should work

Browse game files > run damned_reset_fix.bat. Works everytime (now I just keep the game in windowed + vsync, it seems to have no problem. But once you turn off vsync or just go to fullscreen then you're doomed

Go to the game folder, and find something "fix" thingy, run it and BAM fixed!

Same issue. No one's fixes work for me. Something I've noticed though, there's two cursors, one that I can control with the mouse but doesn't interact with anything and another which sits in the top left corner unless I plug in a controller. THEN I can move THAT cursor around and it highlights stuff! Still can't click on anything though so it's useless and I can't play the game.
