[Solved] Missing a weapon and a chest
Greetings !

I finished my 1st playthrough, and failed the Weapon Connoisseur (55/56) as well as the Patient Plunderer (162/163). Must have forgotten something, however, I followed several guides to make sure that doesn't happen, I am 99% sure I checked all of the chests, and therefore, I have no idea what I could have possibly missed. Did anyone had an issue like this ?

For the record, I searched a few, and covered those possible hints :
I bought Sabre at chapter 2, as well as B#stard sword at chapter 3.
I completed the quest for the Zero Shot.
I saved and reloaded before giving the Carnelia Collection to get the two ultimate weapons.
I opened the prologue chest with the Hiding Jumpsuit in due time.

If anyone has an idea, thanks in advance.

Not sure about missing chest but you could double and triple check the "Chest Guide (With Quotes)" to see if you accidently missed any of them.
And there is nice list of weapons in another thread, here:

which you could use as a check list and see which one you are missing.

I think Agate and Tita have new weapons to start the final dungeon and they didn't seem to count until I put them in the party. I went from 55 to 56 by putting Tita in the party and equipping her final dungeon treasure.

Key word was 1st playthrough, Not sure about the chest, but If it really was your first playthrough the other weapon would be the other ultimate weapon, either Estelle's or Joshua's.

No, he said he reloaded and got it - and the achievement doesn't care when you get the items as long as you get them at least once sometime. I can personally verify this, having reloaded a prologue save to get teh Hide Jumpsuit.

It could be something in a store, otherwise it's something in a chest somewhere. The easiest thing to do is load one of your hopefully frequent saves and check towns to make sure you've gotten everything.

Many thanks for your hints, guys, I eventually found them both doing a NG + playthrough, using the "Save-in-front-of-every-possible-chest" method (hadn't realized there were so many slots on my 1st, yet I had played Ys, silly me -_-). I forgot to mark this topic as Solved :p.

Indeed it was. Those two ultimate weapons can be obtained in a single Playthrough.

I was actually missing the laundry pole (duh...But I was really sure I had bought it at the very beginning) and a chest at Tratt Plains, chapter 3 (no excuse on this one, sorry brain). I had opened 8, and for any obscure reason, thoguht I had them all, whereas several guides indeed state there are 9...

Good thing I was only 99% sure, otherwise I would've felt 100% dumb :P.

If I may give a hint for the future chest hunters, that save method is really helpful. Several chests have the same sentence, and it can be easy to forgo one of them (not pointing anyone here, no no).

Thanks again for your time, fellows !
