Upgrading Quartz
I dont get it. For example, I want to make a Shield 1 become a shield 2. It says in the book its x3. so I make 3 of them and I cant find figure out how to merge them, or the quartz selleris suppose to do something. So buying 3 level 1s, the quartz shop guy cant turn it into a level 2. I dont get whats written in the Bracer book.

You can't upgrade or combine Quartz, you can only create new ones. If you want a Shield 2 Quartz, you go to your local Orbal factory and select Quartz > Shield 2. If it's not on the list (it's too early in the game), you can't craft it.

What the x3 means is that it adds 3 of whatever element is shown to to whatever line on the orbment it is installed on.

Anyone tell me how Death Blow 2 works ? I just looted it. It says if I use it it breaks... So is it activation, random or next hit ?

I think it's the next hit, but I've never used it myself. It's pointless on trash fights, and bosses are either easy enough that it's not worth it, or (probably) immune. You don't get enough Deathblow 2 Quartz to use regularly.

If you're looking for a time to use deathblow 2, really the only time to use it is when fighting Shining Poms. Try getting a sneak attack, and have Estelle use her whirlwind Craft... I think that has enough range to hit all of 'em. But they're not that useful honestly (the deathblow 2s, not shining poms.)

Always been curious out those. They attack me and run away... I would say its annoying , but I've only managed to kill 1, I chained S-breakered on one. Whats the point to them other than being an annoyance ?

They can drop two accessories which make you immune to TWO status's each, they give a lot more XP than other enemies of the same level, and they always drop a lot of sepith for each type (30-70). S-Breaks and Shadow Spear are the only reliable ways to kill them.

hmm I see. guess I should put in more effort to kill them.

Do note that killing a shining pom in each of their 5 spawn locations will net you an achievement. You do not have to kill the entire group, just one.

But yeah, tons of exp and sepith.

I cant recall if I killed the ones in prologue, I remember each time they ambushed me, they would hit and run. Being a first time player I didnt get how to kill them, By chapter 1 and 2 I figured out using the S breaker chaining skills kills them.
