Bracer quests

Term failed... is that what I think it is ??? did it fail me on the quest for I havent arived at yet ?.. I had the quest for Ravennue Monster hunt. So I just finished talking to the reporter and we got a lead to go to go visit the village, so I just stopped in to have a look at the bracer board and it says Term failed ? Does taht mean someone else killed it ? And if they did, why does it say fail ? Shouldnt it say alraedy taken care of ? I havent even arived at the village yet ?

Is it expecting me to drop everything and do tedious quests as soon as they pop up ? Rather than doing them in line with the story ?

That particular monster hunt failed, yes. Every Bracer sidequest has a time limit to complete it, otherwise you will not be able to complete it any more. Quests with Long time remaining take longer, but quests with Short time remaining should be done as soon as you can. Do note that ALL quests will expire when you go to the next chapter if you haven't done them!

There are some really tight time limits for quests in Chapter 3, but for the most part, you can line up most with the story progression. Still, it's worth it to go and do the quests as soon as you get them. Monster difficulty also doesn't increase THAT much in whatever region you're in, and with the ability to run from every random battle, you can do quite a bit before advancing the story.

Annoying :/ I'll just have to expect to fail some. Well least they are side quests. I dont raelly have to do them.

In this case, once you'll arrive at the village, you'll have a good idea why it failed: another bracer already took care of it.

Sometimes you can do quests in line with the main story, but it's not always clear. Don't worry about it on a first run, but feel free to try again with a guide for NG+.

Side quests can fail because you didn't do them in time.

You should care about these because you get the ribbon... er, accessory that prevents all negative status effects (including deathblow) at rank 2, and gladiator belt at rank 1, both of which are EXTREMELY useful accessories, hands down by far best in slot. The more quests you fail, the longer you have to wait to get them, and if you fail enough you just won't get one or both.

After all major story events, you should proceed immediately to the board and check to see if any new ones are available. As a rule of thumb, you should IMMEDIATELY complete ALL of them before proceeding in the story, or you risk them timing out.

That being said, it's not like you can't complete the game without these accessories, but Gladiator Belt Joshua spamming 100CP Black Fang in the final dungeon makes life sooooooooo much easier (last boss, too: you can instantly nuke the adds as they spawn.)
