Game doesn't start, error R6025
I have just got the game, and it doesn't start. On default configurations(configuration tool) the game doesn't start. I have tried to switch to W8/W7/XP compatibility, but I get also now an pop up error window saying "Runtime Error R6025" when I try to start the game. Nothing shows up when I try to start with W10.

I have already tried methods like disabling every option in the configuration tool as enabling all the options, none were successful. DX8 or DX9 game launchers have the same issue with me. Reinstalling the game didn't help either. I have looked into this error R6025, but I haven't found any concluding information on what is missing.

Has anyone had more success then me with this error?

The Runtime error R6025 is an error that occurs with the Visual C++ framework. The error is shown when your application calls a "pure virtual function" in a context that is not valid for the function. ... Remove and reinstall Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Libraries.
Guess you didnt look very hard because I found this Hope it helps
Close the program that caused Runtime Error R6025.
Press Ctrl + Alt + Delete simultaneously to open the Task Manager.
When in Task Manager, click the Processes tab and choose the Image Name.
In the list find the application that caused the runtime error, click it and select End Process.

Thanks for the tips, apparently I was missing the Visual C++ 2008 packages which fixed the R6025 error.
However now I get a black screen followed up by game exit whenever I start the DX9 version of the game. The DX8 works though. I guess I'll keep with the DX8 version for now.
