Generally this means that you're getting both a Steam Store Key and a Retail Key - if for any reason you'd rather not have the game on Steam, you have a valid key for use in a non-Steam version of the game.
And now what? Are you complaining that you didn't researched enough before?
The Steam key IS also a Retail key, you do not get another Key. You can see your Key in the Properties tab of your game in your Library...
Well, thats bad luck i guess. Most Games have a Product Key Tab. But nethertheless you do not get another Key with your Steam Purchase.
