New features in NG+?
What would they be? Maybe just keeping levels?

NG+ basically allows you to choose a different difficulty and you also get the option to keep levels and all your stuff.

So there is an additional difficulty along with the initial difficulty when first playing the game? Or finishing the first playthrough lets me choose the difficulty?

Unfortunately, if it's like the PSP version you can't choose your difficulty until you complete the game and load a new game+ save.

There's Hard and Nightmare in addition to Normal.

Welp, that's a shame. FC is pretty well balanced tho.

AFAIK omgfloofy said you can choose difficulty from the start

The Steam product page says otherwise...it says that you can pick a difficulty on subsequent playthroughs. Which is how it worked in the PSP version.

When starting a New Game+, you'll be given a list of checkboxes what you want to carry over:

- Money/Sepith
- Items
- Equipment/Quartz
- Information (monster book/recipe book)
- Levels/opened orbment slots

You can check or leave out any of them. This is also where you pick the difficulty.

I remember I could just select the difficulty from the start in other series (the third, zero, ao, not sure about SC). Well, as long as there's a difficulty option, I have no complaint.

If it's like the PSP also is an easy on top of the normal as well if you just want to be able to finish the game as quickly as possible on a replay, which is kinda nice because this is the sort of game you'd replay to enjoy the story again.

But yeah, in the PSP version you could only select difficulty on a NG+ and it is supposed to be the same as the PSP version. The only differences is that in this version you can use a Japanese PC clear save as well, and myself and a few others will be doing just that.
The Equipment/Quartz option says "~10 per". What does that mean?

"~10 per" likely means you can retain 10 copies of each equip and quartz, in case you have more for whatever reason.

You can definitely choose difficulty from the start. We get so many people on this forum starting their first playthrough on Nightmare and promptly getting smashed.

It may have been patched in at some point but it's definitely a thing.
