Hopefully everyone will use a player with embedded codes and ditch codec packs altogether.
Just curious, does the trailer for SC count as a movie that will affect some people. (the one that appears after the ending in the psp version.
That's what I was referring to with the 'handled differently' video. It's completely different in the context of the game's system. I don't think the video file itself even has audio (handled by separate files- which is what SC does for the several videos in it)? I could be wrong on this, though, and can't check myself. (I'm not at my home computer to check the files.)
I think the only reason that there's no option for it in the config is that Falcom made the ending of this game 100% a surprise. They gave no hint of it in any way, and by putting an option for it in the config menu, it would give away that it even existed. I'll poke around later when I'm home to see if I can find out anything about the ending video.
Not a problem! I hear that disabling ffdshow helps with the video loading, if you haven't tried that, as well. If not, I've also seen people talk about having luck with it while running the klite codec pack, as well.
Good to know, it would be a shame if some people had to miss that trailer and didn't know about the fact that SC exists and will be localised soon.
