Xbox 360 controller ok?
Given that the game has partial controller support, I presume Xbox 360 controller is fine?

It works fine, but if you want use the d-pad you'll need to use Xpadder, Joy2key or any other program that maps keys to a controller. Make sure to remap the controls too, the defaults are unconventional.

Yeah I see what you mean. The defaults are rather unusual, and uses the Japanise Ok/Cancel method rather than the US/EU ok cancel method (in Japan the buttons are reversed for virtually every console game).

A quick remap and all appears to be well.

With some remapping and the small aid of external mapping software, there's nothing you can't make really practical on it.

I think they even fixed S-breaks on gamepad already, so you only even need external software if you want the dpad now.

Can someone explain to me how the S-Break works exactly with a controller? I skipped over that tutorial a bit too quickly, and I don't want to keep using the keyboard for it.

Go to your Steam library, right-click on the game, and click "Run Configuration". The window that pops up has three tabs: Display, Sound, Input. Click on Input. There are three sub-tabs: Keyboard, Mouse, Gamepad. Click on Gamepad. Notice that the "Use DirectInput" checkbox is unchecked, and that all the gamepad settings are greyed out. Turn "Use DirectInput" on.
