Is it worth beating the Lorence fight? Edit (I BEAT HIM NEVER MIND)
So I've never played this game before btw and this is my first Trails game ever. I've just gotten to the Lorence fight and found it impossible on the first couple tries. Thing is I was just force closing the game to retry when I realised I couldn't win. However on my last attempt I was so close to death I decided it'd be faster to get myself killed and just hit retry; but then the cutscene plays and I'm like "OH ♥♥♥♥ ITS MEANT TO LOSE?" Obviously its not actually meant to lose. I did some research. Something about getting more Bracer points that can carry over into the next game??? Basically I want to ask, should I really try to beat this? Because I am extremely tempted to just say ♥♥♥♥ it and take the L because this is really ♥♥♥♥ing hard and I can't do it.

Edit: (ACTUALLY NEVER MIND. SORRY FOR CLOGGING UP THE FORUM WITH THIS LITERALLY USELESS POST.)

Beating Lorence only matters for bragging rights, the achievement, or getting Max BP, and if you've missed any BP - which is highly likely without using some sort of guide - you probably don't need to worry about it.

He's the hardest boss in the game, which is why you get to lose and continue.

That's good to know. I missed one side quest right at the start of the game. I wanted to know if it changed anything story wise but I guess not? And I still don't understand this concept of BP carrying over to the next game. As long as its not story related then I don't really care.

You get some items in SC depending on your Bracer Rank. As long as you are Rank 1 you get the best bonus which is fairly easy to achieve, but its ultimately not that big of a deal since all the bonus items are obtainable during SC anyways.

Whats cool is that the NPC's remember the Sidequest you did for them in FC, so there is a bit of continuity

Storywise nothing changes, altough if you obtain the lowest Bracer Rank in FC(which is arguably harder then getting the highest) you get a special cutscene at the end in which

Cassius finishes the final boss for you because you are too much of a scrub to do it yourself
