Sherazard I think....... In the OVA, it was like Sherazardo, so in english it would be like Sherazard and in french it would be like Sherazard but with a little bit of an accent at the end. That's what I think anyway.

She is based on Scheherazade /ʃəˌhɛrəˈzɑ:d, -də/[en.wikipedia.org] from "One Thousand and One Nights". The japanese pronunciation is in this link from the Japanese Evolution version.”シェラザード” or "Sherazādo". Note that she is called Scherazard and not Scheherazade. Not really sure what the correct pronunciation in English is though, they call her "Schera" often with one syllable and not two as in [Schehera] so it would make sense to just be "Schera-zard" like "Chari-zard". But maybe someone else with more experience in pronunciation and IPA can elaborate on this more.
A shorter version of Scheherazade, so probably something like the below perhaps?

She-ra-zar-d

She - pronounced more like Che (a less hiss-y sounding "s")
ra - more like "ruh"
zar - like it sounds - ie. like tsar
d - pronounced more like "duh?"

On the other hand, as the game is not set in this world, you can pronounce it however you please.

I love the diversity of mentor archetypes in this series.
Cold Steel has an alcoholic flirty teacher
Trails in the Sky has...an alcoholic flirty teacher lol
They're both great though.

They're both great though.

One used to be a circus act though AND has a cannon relationship unlike the other whose love life depends on what the player wants.......poor girl, she is never getting that Vincent/Cassius style man.

that's too bad but romancing the teacher in cold steel ended up being hilarious.
After I finish Sky 1 I'll probably play CS1 again and then finish CS2 from a fresh save.
Might seem dumb but I can't just pick up a game where I left off if I haven't played in ages.
I have to remember everything before that point haha.

I just pronounce it like "Sara" but with a "sh" instead of the "s". For her full name I just add "-zard" to the end.

Kind of a weird coincidence now that I type it out.

If I was going to spell phonetically how I pronounce her name then it would be Cher-Uh.

I always just assumed it would be pronounced similar to the Scheherazade from One Thousand and One Nights. That name has been spelled differently or shortened in a number of ways so I think the one in this game would probably sound similar.

For example Shirazad, Shahrazad, and Shahrzad are all other ways Scheherazade's name has been spelled (according to wikipedia anyways).

So I just look up how Scheherazade is pronounced on google and use that as a reference for how I'd pronounce Schera's name.
