You can also get Mayflash's Switch adapter which also works for PC and has an xbox mode where the controller will behave by default as a 360 controller without issues.
It was a real hassle... however, it seems that starting the game in big picture mode with steam input ON got my controller to be recognized every time somehow. The configuration menu doesn't even show the dualsense as an available gamepad!
So yeah, just try to boot the game through big picture mode. I only boot the game through the config tool btw. Maybe that's part of it. (for some reason the game crashes when I boot it normally) This of course also doesn't allow you to remap controls... but I think the default buttons are totally fine. Good luck!
