anyone know where i can see them or buy them with english text or speech? i found 1 but it seemed to put me in the middle of something, does the animation cover the entire game or just a portion of it?

It covers the first six chapters of the second game in the series, Trails in the Sky SC. Unfortunately, it's not a good adaptation, as trying to mush ~60 hours of gameplay into less than 1.5 hours doesn't work out, with one the game's major antagonists not even being present, and complete changes to the storyline, pacing, and the the loss of many details poured into the original.

I wouldn't recommend getting into the series from the anime due to it starting in the middle of the story and it being inferior to the original. If you want to get into the series, start with first chapter (this game) instead.

That being said, it's not completely awful if you have played the games, as the fight scenes are animated alright and it does have Falcom's awesome music in the background.

From what I've heard, it's really, really, really bad. Like it skips over FC pretty much completely, does bad things with the story of SC - stops after about SC Chapter 6, and makes Joshua the protagonist instead of Estelle. I would probably avoid it.

Watch the anime AFTER finishing SC. While its not a good adaptation when it comes to story , it has a FANTASTIC soundtrack , great fighting scenes and the dialogue feels like it is from trails.
My favorite line being "SHUT UP!!!"

I watch the anime as part of my trails marathon every year. I beat FC , SC then the OVA , then the 3rd and if I have enough time Zero no Kiseki fan translation and then the cold steel games. However I ALWAYS make sure to play the first trilogy.

Like most game adaptation anime it’s purely for the fans. As said before, best watched after you play the game, otherwise it’s just spoilers m.

I'm weird. I don't mock anime fans like many others. I actually LIKE the anime art style. but.. eh... I just don't have the time to watch shows when I enjoy playing videos so much more.

Eh, to each their own really. Heck, most of my favorite anime, like Steins;Gate come from even better visual novels.

cheers for the link, and for everyone warning me i have played both first and second chapter about 4 times already and still enjoying it on the 5 time so nothing to worry about there. and i will always take the chanse if i can get more oliver in my life

Konosuba is great with the exception a few jokes here and there.
