Is there any video or guide where I can learn about orbments better?
Im kinda confused. And should I grind to unlock the slots as fast as possible? I finished the prologue, with some slots unlocked, but I can still unlock others.

There is an ingame manual via the bracer book.

However,

The in-game manual is a tremendous help. As for slots, don't rush into opening them, it's a long game. Prioritize opening up Estelle and Joshua's slots first as they will be with you all game. Each chapter also has a guest star who will be sticking with you pretty much all chapter long, and they get next priority. Party Member number 4 gets less time.

But don't open up so many slots that you can't afford to get quartz to put into them. Action quartz are good for everyone, Cast quartz are good for casters. The rest depend on what quartz you can synth at the shops and what spells you want characters to have.

Yes, you should open all your slots ASAP and grind in order to do so.

But you should specifically grind the best enemy of all, which is always the Shining Poms. They give you the most EXP and the most sepiths and the widest variety of sepiths. Grinding other monsters is a waste of time, as grinding Shining Poms is always the best option.

That goes for all the Sky games (except for if you are grinding for loot instead of sepiths and/or experience, in which case you have to grind specific non-Shining-Pom mobs for that).

Ignore him.

Open slots as convenient without emptying out your stash, and kill Shining Poms if you happen to pass one with appropriate ammunition to do the job, but don't bother grinding. Higher-grade quartz is usually going to mean more than equipping more crap, and very few fights will last long enough to warrant the longer EP bar. You don't get a lot of the crazy multi-element spells until the later games, and you start those with everything open from the beginning.

Also, if you see a Sepith-Up turn, try landing a move on it that hits a ton of times like Aerial or Estelle's S-break. A well-placed Aerial on a trash encounter can give you almost as much sepith as a Shining Pom. Landing a Sepith-Up turn on Shining Poms pretty much maxes out the drop even if you don't kill it.

Estelle and Joshua are the only ones you even need to open slots for, and you'll probably finish opening theirs in Chapter 4 or so (maybe 3? Been a while). The rest of the cast comes back in the finale with everything already done, though taking an extra slot or two during their earlier chapters can help with your loadout.

If you're close to being able to afford a piece of gear, it's usually safe to sell a handful of Space sepith. Time is usually your bottleneck to making the best quartz, and all the Space quartz requires Time sepith too -- so it's pretty easy to have a good idea of how much you need to keep around to make your next EP Cut or whatever.
