Do Schera and Olivier rejoin the party after Act1?

I still had an orb slot to unlock on both characters when they left for Rolent after defeating the Sky Bandits. Do they rejoin later so I don't miss the achievement for unlocking all orb slots? Also I missed a chest in Krone Pass and I'm now at Ruan, can I travel back to that region?

I've got a save file still in Bose, so I'm wondering whether or not just to reload from there.

You should have another chance for unlocking their orb slots later. You cannot go back to older areas once you've passed into the next, these chests are lost, as well as any area (hidden) quests that you didn't finish.

Yes, they rejoin much later.

I got the "unlock all slots" achievement at the end, when everyone comes back, so I think it might be impossible to avoid getting it.

Everyone comes back at the end, and most of them opened most of their slots themselves while they were gone.
