And it also seems weird to Falcom to reference something that isn't in the game(s) to one extent or another. The attention to detail and continuity in the Kiseki series is pretty mind-boggling.
Which is possible, but unlikely.
I'm also not really able to think of any other instance in any other Kiseki game where something is referenced, but never followed up on. There are tons of allussions and references in these games, and if you look you can always figure out what people are talking about. But I suppose if there was going to be some nothing throwaway stuff, the first game is where it'd be.
But what's weird is that there *are* newspapers in the game, and there are *photos* in the newspapers, and there *are* articles about the royal family... but there are no photos *of* the royal family. Seeing an image (from a distance, so the player couldn't make out the faces) of Kloe and here grandma in Issue 1 or Issue 2 would make this a moot issue.
As things stand right now, we're stuck making inductive assumptions.
