- Fixed Item Comparison. No you didn't
The latest changelog states
- Fixed Item Comparison not showing the correct value for Weapons;

No, they didn't while you are looking just at the equipped items appear some comparison with just nothing. and on the store there still some problems.
I believe you should be able to compare from the craft area too before crafting... that would be cool

Uh, well, we did fix the item comparison not showing the correct value for Weapons, which is what we wrote haha :)

I frankly did not understand the issue. If you are looking at your equipped item, doesn't it make sense that it will compare it with nothing?

And yes, comparing from the craft area would be cool indeed

Comparing with nothing would show all and exactly the total stats loss, but that isn't what is happening. It was showing like -4 weapon attack and i was looking to a weapon with like 16 attack and tons of weapon damage.

Sorry about the missunderstanding on the first post.

"Comparing with nothing would show all and exactly the total stats loss"

Whoa there. You shouldnt be able to compare an equipped weapon with a blank item oO

This is not possible in the game atm. Or I still am not understanding what you mean

I'm getting this too.

It is only somewhat confusing when you are on the team equipment screen...

http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/36370717981674763/68475471CD1000033A246636A8712D9EBF67E6AE/

But when you are at the shop that doesn't show what is currently equipped? It gives the impression that highlighting the gear you already have on, is a downgrade. "Oh why the hell would I want to buy that? It's worse than whatI already have equipped-wait, that IS what I have equipped!"

Unrelated. Before and after the patch, my Lead has been stuch with a striped motorcycle helmet (as seen in that first screenshot) regardless of what helmet I put on him since the middle of season 4. I do not know if this is just a graphical glitch, or it is causing me to have different stats. If I mouse over the stats screen at least, the tooltip shows my actually equiped item.

EDIT: In fact, it does that if I highlight the alien grade axe too. "You will go down to 51 weapon damage!... Even though the Cosmic Cannon axe lists 92 weapon damage..."

Hopefully these screenshots will make it more clear that there is in fact, a problem.

At a glance? I THINK this may only be happening to the Weapon Damage stat. All the other stats so far seem to be comparing correctly. But "Weapons do not correctly compare weapon damage" is pretty big.

+1 to being able to compare from the craft screen.

Just one example here.
Change sword says 70 weapon damage. It is saying if my char equip it, my weapon damage will go from 44 to 40. This still isnt fixed
RyuSora May 6, 2015 @ 1:45pm
I bought this gun to my other char and it states that if i equip him with the SAME weapon on the shop it will go from 48 to 35 weapon damage. lolwut
ITS THE SAME WEAPON

Im just glad that, as big a number issue it is, this ONLY seems to be a problem for the Weapon Damage stat right now and not the other stats. Though it really stands out when the stat with Weapon right in the name, is the stat that weapons get wrong.

I'm more annoyed by the apparent bugs to countering that have cropped up for your characters myself, since the last patch.

I've sent bug reports for the weapons stat comparison deal. But you can't get that screenshot as it happens packaged alongside a bug report I've sent for the "Counters are clearly wonky right now" situation.

This is because it doesn't take into account the passive attack/weapon damage character skills when comparing the weapons.

In this example the character you're equipping it on has around + 28% weapon damage passive skill, the 28% isn't being taken into account when comparing to the equipped one, which has the passive skills taken into account.

That's my guess anyway, pretty certain that's the case.

I would not be surprised if that was also a factor in some cases, it happens even to Actors without any passive bonuses. Such as the Leader having wrong Weapon Damage numbers for Spears (With or without the passive bonnus to spears activ), Pistols, and Swords.

While I have only provided screenshot examples regarding one weapon above, I assure you that every character and ANY weapon has wrong end result on the comparisons. You will see correct damage on the Actor's menu for currently equipped gear, but the comparison numbers to the right will always be wrong.

Only the Weapon Damage stat comparisons, everything else is fine.

Right now, My leader will show "Goes down to 48 weapon damage", when compariing the Dragon Lance. Select the Dragonlance he has equipped, shows a red down arrow for 48. Though the "current" numbers are accurate to the item statistics itself at 94.

If I select say, the CG gun (Item itself says it has 30 weapon damage), it will show a red down arrow for 22 Weapon Damage... If I equip it, then it will show the proper 30 Weapon damage, with a red down arrow comparison of 22.

If I select the Enlarged Sword (I got it from an email), The item itself lists 56 weapon damage. Comparison screen shows a green up arrow of... 40. Same sort of results for any actor, with or without passive bonuses to particular weapon types slotted or not.

Again, this is only for weapon damage. Everything else is comparing correctly. A weapon that also has a bonus to attack, health, whatever, those will show accurate comparison numbers.

EDIT: Sorta related, but slotted passive bonuses do not appear to change anything on the equipment statistics listings. With or without the +30% damage to spear skills turned on, my Dragon Spear will have the same situation of "Current Weapon Damage, 94. Compared Weapon Damage, 48".

Quick question, guys.
Attack damage affects the damage dealt with weapon right?!
if yes, Does that also reflects on weapon damage?
I am pretty confused with this
ImHelping May 6, 2015 @ 6:15pm
Attack is your personal attack power without a weapon. Punching people, team attacks, etc.

Weapon Damage is for when you use the weapon itself. I do not know if it stacks with your normal attack power in use or what or any other mathematical quirks.

I know when I actually attack people with a weapon, it usually oes more than the listed weapon damage though, even when I don't have a passive bonus to that weapon type.

EDIT: A proper manual or quick reference would be super great. Plenty of stuff is well explained, or easy to figure out when you see if (Ooooh, Amount of fans = Fan power to turn on marketing bonues). But a reference is always good to have.

Yeah, this game does need an official instruction manual. Especially for when this does get ported to the PlayStation consoles.
