New player: any reason to not just immediately chromatize?
I don't remember that mechanic being fully explained in the game beginning. Is there any incentive to not just immediately chromatize in every battle? Do you get some kind of audience reward for holding off?

It's best to hold off on chromatizing because transforming not only gives you a free rally, with everyone joining together by the member that called for the chromatization, but a free full heal as well. Since you get these same benefits automatically each time you beat a scene, you might want to go ahead and finish one if you can so you can hold that chromatize in reserve for the next scene.
As GC13 pointed out, Chromatizing at the right time can change the tempo of a map. Even though your support is going to do the most healing in a match, having them get some extra damage in is always a good call. Likewise, if you're chasing enemies across a map, that free rally will also help in setting up a team up.

Another thing to mention is that based on the scene requirements, going into Chroma mode will just destory enemies too quickly. You might have a requirement for all your teamates to attack the same target, but that won't be possible in Chroma mode when just two members will down the target. (for example)

Thanks for the tips everyone. This all makes sense. I figured out a lot of the intricacies last night while unexpectedly losing four hours to the game and then wondering why it was suddenly so much later, hah!
