Game Crashes After Clicking Play
Hi. I’m having a problem that is similar to the problems a couple other users have reported (here and on GitHub).

I just purchased your game and I’m trying to play it for the first time. I get to the first screen, with the Play button, and I click Play. The game works for a while (with the wait icon), like 1-1/2 to 5 minutes, and then crashes, with the error message, “infra.exe has stopped working.” (Then, if I try to start another program, it will start but will hang until I terminate INFRA.) This is a consistent problem. The same thing happens every time (except for the length of time it takes to crash).

I see that you say INFRA needs 4GB of RAM. I have 3GB (I guess because one of my RAM chips is bad). Do you think that would be the cause?

Hello,

It is most likely caused by that. The game tends to crash if it rans out of memory.
You could try loading levels directly via console: http://steamcommunity.com/app/251110/discussions/1/412446292769452652/

Hi. Thanks for helping us with our issues here.

The console output is loaded with error messages. Is that normal? (Then I get the same crash.)

As Oskutin said, this is most likely a memory issue. 3 GB isn't enough, at least for the highest graphics settings. Depending on your graphics card and operating system, you might need even more than 4 GB of available memory.

What you could try is setting all graphics to low in the options menu of the game. This should make it use less memory. You should also make sure that you don't have any programs open (web browsers, etc.) while the game is running.

It might also be worth a shot to try and use one of those programs like Razer Game Booster to free up memory.

I tried running the game alone, with low-quality graphics settings and it started. (Haven't actually started playing the game yet.)

hey I had the same issue on my newer windows 10 computer, it just flat out kept crashing no matter what I did. I had an older PC, which was just an older version of my newer PC, with nothing but upgraded hardware, more ram, faster processor and a newer model video card.

The game worked flawlessely on my older PC, yet nothing I can do on the newer one wil have the game work.. even tried to run it in compat mode..

Just thought I'd toss out there it may be an issue with the game running on windows 10..

Well, it can’t be Windows 10 itself, right? Everyone would be having the problem. (Also, I got it to work and I’m on Windows 10.)

Maybe the developers here that helped me could help you figure out what your problem is.

It shouldn't be an issue with Windows 10. I'm running on 64-bit Windows 10 Pro and it works for me.

What version of Windows 10 are you guys running? Home or Pro? 64-bit or 32-bit? You can check by going into the start menu and typing in "about your PC".
