I'm stuck at nuclear power plant crane

I got across crane's top and I just can't climb down. It's like I hit invisible wall
I watched a couple of walkthroughs and people climb down from crane onto a ledge without problem.
What is going on?

You're above a room which has water at the bottom ? You crossed that room at the top by crossing on top of the crane ?

If so, before you can get down off the crane you have to do something else so you can proceed further once you're down there. Did you use the crane for anything yet ?

Yes I moved the catwalk to bridge the gap and I can't get down

Please don't tell me I have to place that catwalk to CERTAIN postion to disable invisible wall.

No, the placement isn't very exact. As long as you get the catwalk close enough that you can jump the gap, the game accepts that and will guide your jump so you don't fall.

I only mentioned it because it's the only reason I can think why the game wouldn't let you off the crane. But now I think of it, there are stairs at the end of the hall that might let you get back to the other side if the catwalk wasn't in the right place.

Are you sure you're getting off the crane in the right place. Maybe there's some steam from a broken pipe in your way or something.

I've seen videos of over people coming through leftmost opening and I can't pass it
I tried holding "Crouch", I tried pressing "Jump", I tried to go backwards and sidewards.
I can't see no reason why I can't go down on a ledge
All I managed to do is somehow fell on a catwalk but it's certain death
