The lab door fuse in the dam
I'm wondering if the fuse for the lab door is found lying around the level or if you have to bring it from another level somehow.

I've scoured the dam area but havent found any spare fuses. Any hints? Please avoid too many spoilers. Even a nudge in the right direction would be nice.

Yes there is a fuse.
Hint: Where would you place a spare fuse if you were one of the engineers in that location?

Thank you both for the replies. The fuse is located in a logical place that I already looked at several times.

For anyone who wants to know: the fuse is located in a cardboard box on a high shelf.

Thanks to this discussion, I finally found the fuse, so I got into that room. I turned the valve in there and he said "That should do it", but do what? I cannot figure out what has changed, but there must be something that will help me get forward.

You just fixed the leak below the lab by closing the pipe.

This game is full of spots in need of a fix, and not all of them are required to continue.

Thanks, I thought it might be something like that as I managed to finish Chapter 2. It is a bit confusing to not know what is required and what is not, but I'm progressing, although slowly.

At least I can finally do that in another run

Ah, that is so obvious now that you know where to look.. I wish objects on shelves had interaction (physics model) to get better look in places..

I did it the hard way before, thanks for the tip :)

I had to bring a fuse down with me the second run through because I didn't find the fuse at first. Thought it was a bit of a devious plan to unlock more secrets. You will find though that everything you need is pretty much right in the area you are looking. I tried bringing boxes fromone place to another but it didn't work!!
I can't seem to get my hands on it for some reason.

When you come off the elevator you go into security open all the door locks (not all will open at this point) The next room you enter there is a row of shelves. In one of the boxes your cursor will highlight (if you have that option) the fuse. You can carry it or just drop it off the side and pick it up later on your way to the fuse room.

Talking about fuse, someone know why there's four of them (two spares) in the upper level? I tried to give them a elevator ride but the game doesn't like my idea and froze furiously.

I brought one down the second go through because I did not find the one that was there. In fact I thought originnally that we couldn't solve all the problems because we needed hindsight (carrying fuses/ throwing switches) but that is not the case. Everything you need to solve an area is there

We placed some extra fuses there since we noticed that people had a habit of losing them – especially in places where they could no longer be retrieved from.

Not sure why your game froze there. You should be able to bring the fuses to the elevator with you.

Uuuughhh, doing the last room before entering the steel plant I was flipping and tossing fuses so I could bring them into that last panel. The necessary fuses were all there though laying about (in out of the way places)
