INFRA

Has anyone tried RTX Remix with this game?
Seems like it works best with source based games so maybe this one as well?

This is a DirectX 9.0c game and is not compatible with rtx-remix.

Is DirectX 9.0c something different than DirectX 9?
RTX Remix's github page says it's for DirectX8 and 9 games.

Hey, i remember that you can change directX in launch parameters in tf2, maybe infra have this option too?

Personally I have been using Reshade RTGI with INFRA, and some of the differences it can make are really quite dramatic... Unfortunately , Reshade being a post-process screen-space effect, it comes with a lot of jank such as shadows being visible through fog and windows or lighting effects which depend on your perspective, but it really brings out the true potential of INFRA's level design when they are not stuck with 2017-era graphics ...
If INFRA can get true global illumination to replace the Source 1 baked lighting effects, I have no doubt that it will be one of the prettiest games of all time

Sadly yes. 9.0c allows for developers to use a different rendering pipeline (Shader model 3.0). Launch options could be tweaked though like in other source games. Doesn't look like it uses any special shaders.

tried this with rtx remix many times and sadly its "too new" eg the engine fork it uses does shader things that make it fail to run correctly. , Maybe in the future if/when rtx remix is extended to support more of the directx standard

Yes but it didn't launch
It launches, menu music plays, but the screen image just gets stuck on the initial loading bar.
As for adjusting the directx version via start parameter, the source engine branch used for this game (2013 branch iirc) doesnt support direct x 7 or 8, so the command used in hl2/portal doesnt work.
