Can't turn on all bunker power?
OK, I've just visited the executive suite via the secret bookcase entrance at the top of the elevator, then made my way down the funicular to the bunker exterior. After getting stumped there, I confess I cheated a bit and watched a YouTube walkthrough...which showed the player going into the electric room and turning on Breaker 2 AND Breaker 1 (before putting in the code to open the blast doors). When I try to do the same thing, though, ONLY BREAKER 2 will go on, NOT Breaker 1....wondering what/if I'm doing something wrong?

Then, once I'm through the blast doors and into the bunker Control Room I hit the power switch, which raises the steel blinds. BUT, in the walkthrough, when he hits the power button, TWO lights come on in the control panel...and again, when I do it only ONE light comes on....and I'm unable to open the blast door from the guard shack at the bunker entrance.

Are the tho power sources related? Thanks in advance!

Well done. I had the same question at the same point the first time I played.

Earlier on in the game you visit a power station. It is possible to restart this power station and reconnect it to the grid. If you do both those things, there is enough power to open the second blast door. Without it, it has only enough power to open the door that lets you enter.

So on this playthrough there are sections of the bunker you won't be able to explore. Sorry about that. You can still proceed through the bunker, find an exit, and continue with the game. You just aren't going to see everything the bunker has to offer. I'm sure on your next time through the game you'll spend more time figuring out the power station. So think of it as saving some cool content for your next playthrough.

By the way, this is the only part of the game which works like that. Things you do throughout the rest of the game change later parts, but they have more minor results and don't have such a large effect on your later gameplay.

Yeah, I did not get to the other parts of the bunker the first time. Up ahead there is still so much to discover, and when you do get to do your second play through you'll be amazed at how much more there is to noticed that you might have just walked by the first time.

I missed this on my first playthrough as well

Thank you Pesky, that does help. I've seen an exit I can use - up through the fan shaft - but from what I can tell, the only way to get the fan turned off is by collecting the mushroom-ey Teddy Bear from that part of the bunker I can't get to...but you're saying there's another way I can trip the fan sensor? (Thanks!)

Yes. That's one way out you can still use.

There are more mushroom-ridden objects around. You can get to them easily from the area near that shaft.

Take a look around the canteen.

I did the same thing. If you are really determined and get a lot of pics and and open the bunker - there may be a suprise waiting for you :)

Look behind the crates on the last level after fixing the pumps
