Farming Pansuns is Terrible, just kidding, grinding itself is horrible in this game.
Prior to the game doesn't separate basically 80% of the duplicated skills from each temtem's skill tress for us to upgrade them just one time, the game really wants us to stuck in game, so we can play it longer kinda nonsense.

The only temtem that is top tier qualified for grinding pansuns is Innki, simply because he has the best 25% 'Pansun Multiplier', while the rest has only 15% at max. On top of that, Innki's Tesla Prison is also tie to Panloupe (Gear that multiply pansun's %), which makes him a better candidate. Besides, Innki doesn't need to evolved to get it's best form, so zero wasting upgrade from leveling up, just to evolve. Last but not leaast, Innki has only 2 slots from skill trees left to unlock in coming update, (PS: mine has 95% unlocked for now).

Although Pigepic has 25% max as well (i.e. ignore the fact that it took 5x upgrade to max 'Pansun Multiplier', while Innki requires 4x) and with no evolution, but it doesn't has 'Max Techniques' available yet in it's skill tree. Therefore, Innki is still leading the contest.
Yup, we basically have to "end up" using Innki for grinding, while the rest of the temtems s*ck, I believed they'll hardly survive in the very late game (endless). (PS: I'm not taking any rebuttal on this)
Conclusion, Innki is factually the favoured child of the game, atm.

Enough BS, Below is my gameplay:-
Map: Omninesia >> Endless Mode + Hasty Mode (2x Charges in Hacking Level); 4.2x Pansun
I've been grinding with Innki, the best result gotten was 50min+ with 50k pansun, with 4(1st Boss) + 4(2nd) + 3(final) Bosses taken down.
I know it's alot, but hold on. this is the only time I got first hack as +50% Pansun while -50% HP at very beginning of the game.
While the rest of the other gameplay, I didn't get this lucky, for 40mins+ average game just to get 12k+ to 30k+ Pansun, which is kinda terrible and we all know that with this amount of Pansun, it's only enough for a little upgrade from just one temtem's skill tree.

Here's the break down of each Endless Mode buffing, from 1>2>3>4.
Enemies:-
Enemy HP +300% > 600% > 1200% > 2400%
Enemy Damage +30% > 60% > 120% > 240%
Enemy Speed +15% > 30% > 50%
Boss Attack Speed +10% > 20% > 40%
Player:-
Powerful Temtem (Pansun) 0.2% > 0.4% > 0.8% > 1%
Level up Pansuns +10% > 20% > 40% > 80%
(it's basically just doubling up for enemies (crazy buff) while only give tiny tiny amount benefit in return for players)

So, with 80% of "Level up Pansuns" buff, and each time I'm leveling up, I only get 9 Pansun for choice, yup, that's all I got.
(i.e. Prior to +50% Pansun via hack, and full Panloupe Gear upgrade which +80% Pansun)

All I'm saying is:-
(1) There's favoured temtem;
(2) Pansun earning per game is only enough for just a little upgrade from a single temtem's skill tree;
(3) Endless Mode buffing for enemies is way too wild, and there's little compensation for players
(4) Lower down the required Pansun to spend on Skill Tree, or just level up once for all that'll be nice.
That's all my complains. Appreciate your reading if you made it this far.

My full Innki 50min+ record is here in case you wanna check (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ntvf4hpWtT8).

well they are a need to grind somehow to make the game worth playing for a while and not max out a tem in a single run. also innki is a a bit too op for wht i think i also did a 50 min run with it you can make him so tanky and powerful its insane theres is no point of playing any other tem apart for unlocking stuff

most of the temtems are so easy to die or struggle surviving, it makes me suffer just to play them;
hopefully the devs balance the rest, make their techniques better
e.g. the latest temtem Raiber, Warm Cuddle take so much time to launch a damage;
while Hellfire makes enemies burn (i.e. it's good damage though) but take too much time for enemies to die
most of the enemies won't die before dealing damage to us.
Thus, a lot of unnecessary damage taken, not to mention Raiber is way too soft to take any damage

btw, I reckon I somewhat make more money in Omninesia(3.5x) with only Hasty Mode + Endless Mode, despite latest map has base 4.0x (0.5x more)
Also, despite increasing the difficulty of Hack charges, it doesn't necessary brings more Pansun, so all I did now its just spamming Innki in this map, with this setup
a better run ryt there

i stop doing event when i start not to see ♥♥♥♥ this is why i dont get as many money in my runs
I'm still trying to get a poison dash so I can finally get Spread+ completed.
Now every Tem can get the 25% Pacsun Multiplier. New Tems have way more starting Pacsuns. Most importantly Endless received scaling changes.

I just did a 62 minute Platypet run where I earned 138,000-ish Pacsuns. I could have gone longer, but decided to end the run there.
tbh i never had to actively farm pansun :o just trying to do all the kudos already gives enough pansun through normal play that you can get all of the important skills for every new tem instantly

Very glad the latest changes are noticeable!
If every tem would excel at the same thing and do the same thing, there wouldn't be a reason to have more than one to choose from. Maybe the current balance doesn't fully reflect it, but from a variety standpoint it would make the most sense to have different tems be the most efficient in different things. This would also encourage multiplayer so that people can make groups consisting of something along the lines of someone who focuses on raw damage scaling, another one with maybe utility and a third one perhaps for tanking or crowd control like a maxed out Expanding Force for example or whatever. You get the idea.

Would be pretty boring if every single "character" just does the same damage but in different VFX.

For what it's worth, while Innki is pretty proficient because he can salvage the pansus gear for tech synergy, the miniscule difference of the pansus multiplier on paper does barely make a difference with hack levels and some other tems in return can kill faster or last longer which offsets and equalizes the multiplier anyways.

I think you're looking at the balance a bit too linear. Also, starting a whole thread like this with a wall of text and then say you don't take any rebuttal is weird to say the least. Why come to a DISCUSSION board if your intention is literally the polar opposite?

I always find it so agitating when people complain with a very opinionated attitude and deem their opinion as fact for something that clearly isn't a fact.
I don't want anyone to think I'm trying to talk negatively about this game, but Soulstone Survivors is the gold standard in how to make these games varied, fun, interesting, and a tad too grindy (though not as bad as some others). I would encourage any dev of this genre to play it through enough to unlock everything (not necessarily get *every* achievement, lol). There's a lot to learn there, and this game has a lot of potential. It already has style, charm, and music down.

However, in my early experience with it so far I can already tell it suffers one of the main issues that games in this genre do--melee sucks. Max health scaling on the orange starter monkey looking guy doesn't mean anything without a lot of armor or sustain. He just gets chipped to death--especially on the second stage where those ranged drake things hover around at a fixed range, out of reach. I actually think those particular enemies are badly designed because most skills don't seem to be able to reach them, or lack a way to deliberately target them. It's one more area where Innking shines. He was able to one-shot that map where I had failed 4+ other attempts with as many other characters--and it was all chiefly because of those particular enemies, not even the boss, who isn't so hard in itself (just has too much trash around him).
