While I do think there is skill in this game.. the RNG factor is WAYYY more important. I feel like most runs I'm just going with whatever because I have no choice and then 1 out of every 5 runs I get to actually play like the god I was meant to be.
My highest damage on a character on the same map is about 700k.. my lowest.. was about 280k lol.. that is such an incredible difference and all because :RNG:
My buddy and I did have a great time though.. we leveled up two toons each fully and beat the game a couple times. Probably come back for the next update.
What you're experiencing is pure RNG. Gears and Techniques have a rarity associated with them, from common to epic. You're more likely to see common Gears and Techniques, as the rarer ones are just that, rarer.
Your Luck skill can positively influence the perks you're offered throughout the game, I recommend giving that a boost!
Anecdotal evidence seems to suggest that this is not true, or, if it is, you need to review and change your rng and luck algorithm. It's not about perfect rng, or accurate luck. It's about what feels fair, and feels lucky.
Even with max luck on the second melee tem (the earth monkey), I have never seen the net while playing the tem. Moreover I have also never seen the normal attacks (e.g. the ki area attack) while playing that tem, although those would be synergistic, given the tanky melee attack focus (edit: and the fact that they are "common").
In contrast I see the rare drill and holster items multiple times across several tems, irrespective of luck levels.
Sorry, I didn't explain it thoroughfully. Not all Temtem have all attacks in their pool, regardless of their rarity. Attacks for each Temtem go according to their typing and the type of the attacks. Ki Field is a neutral Technique and Smazee is melee/earth, so he doesn't have access to that.
A lot of players tell us they have trouble encountering other Gears and Techs, so anecdotal evidence doesn't seem conclusive across the board for now, sorry. We'll take a look at the numbers anyway, but so far it seems like pure RNG.
