Curse of the Blind! What do you think?
First of all for everyone who doesnt know what this is: Curse of the Blind causes active and passive Items (So everything in the Item room, Deals with the Devil/Angel or in the Shop and every other Item you'll see in that floor) to appear as question marks. You don't know what that item is so you either take it and find out our you don't take it and basically skip an entire floor.

God, this curse is so so so so annoying and it can ♥♥♥♥ up a game for you so easily. They should remove this. There are certain items I just dont want to pick up in general (Bobs Brain, Cursed Eye, Ludovico Technique etc.) but I just HAVE to take the risk with this curse cause I cant skip on at least 2 Items + Shop Item. PLUS Deal with the Devil/Angel Items.
Whenever I get this Curse before Depths/Necropolis I immediately restart the game. And that can be really frustrating if you have a really good run going.
I don't think this should be in the game and Ed should remove this as soon as possible, cause this just kills the game, for me at least.
What do you guys think about that?

I like it.

First, I think it balances the game nicely since there are many (over)powerful items in the game, and having to decide whether to take a risk or not makes the game more interesting.

Second, those items you'd never want to pick pretty much appear only in treasure room, and maybe devil room. Skipping one or two items rarely ruins a run.

Third, the curse happens rarely and curses can be prevented by buying the Black Candle item.

It has nothing to do with it being challenging or not.
There are many other Curses who are kind of a challenge but this one can ♥♥♥♥ up your game, no matter how strong you are or what items you picked up. I had Curse of the Blind 2 Rooms in a row and I got Cursed Eye and Dead Cat out of it. There was no way for me to beat Moms heart at that point cause whenever I got hit, i just teleported away.
But yeah lets just be sarcastic about it and not read what I even meant, cause thats so much easier. Typical Internet Heroes.

Curse of the Blind I think was a really neat idea. I think the idea came to Edmund when he saw how everyone would avoid certain items.

Feels like it happens every run for me.
And yes it COULD ruin a run if you don't have anything good anyway. It could save it too obviously but for me its more of ''Hey, your runs oing good, HOW ABOUT BOBS BRAIN'' and I sit there and wanna slit my throat cause it just gets really frustrating.

I usually get it after I kill mom and go to the boss rush.
I love randomly choosing 4 objects!

Garbage curse. Has ruined so many runs for me, it's not even funny at this point. I like challenge, not random question marks that you have no idea what they do. That's just dumb

Bobs brain with tearburst is too good.

Didn't you know? Making even more luck-based is wha the game is all about! Back in BoI, I used to sit around wondering how I could make the game more reliant on luck for its difficulty, and now all my prayers have been answered. All praise the curse of the blind, and may this community become as welcoming as the dark souls community.

Guys. BoI is meant to be hard.

Just, you know, deal with it.
Get rid of it.:dealwithit:

There are plenty worse curses. I understand it can be annoying as hell, but if you already have a powerful loadout, and won't kill you to pass on an item room. Boss room items are always stat ups so you can always take them.
*Goes to Devil Room*
*Sees a 1 heart item, thinking it's dark bum or pentagram*
Dead Cat.
