The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth

Soundtrack is NOT by Danny Baranowsky?!
Am I the only one seriously turned off by this? Baranowsky's soundtrack sort of defines the Isaac experience for me. I was expecting a tweaked and remixed OST from him, but not a totally new one from someone else.

To be fair, the new composer might be great. I dunno, maybe it would win me over eventually. But without a Danny B. soundtrack this isn't Isaac and I'm probably not getting it until it's on sale for a couple bucks. :squirtmeh:

I did and they are awful tbh, but I am 1000% percent here for the gameplay, so I can mute it and love the game =)

The terrible music did not stop me from preordering soon as it popped up.

It's personal taste really. From what I've heard I'd prefer the new soundtrack over the old one anyday.

That's not bad at all, Judas. But in a game like this the composer is half the dev team. If they'd kept Danny and replaced Edmund it would be just as weird to me. :f2_unsure:

He and Edmund part ways for some reason. From what I've heard they likely won't ever work together again.

GAH #^@#$^*

This is like when your favorite band breaks up to do "solo projects". Usually because they're idiots.

Trust me it had nothing to do with a bigger cut... but that's another story.

Was it stupid and petty? I'm guessing it was stupid and petty.
I liked the old soundtrack, but new is OK too.

sad that the old music artist danny baranowsky isnt in it. He provided key features ...

I'm a little torn by the soundtrack - or the tracks released on Youtube.

I really liked the music Danny did for the original. It was sort-of upbeat (kind of...?), having a catchy tune but still fit the game nicely. It was the sort of tune you could get stuck in your head, but you liked it so much that you didn't care. I used to listen to the soundtrack all of the time when I played Isaac regularly.

The new music is still good, but it's not the same kind of good. From what I've heard, the new music is a lot creepier - which is still fitting - but it seems to have lost that "upbeat" feel to it making it a less repeatable, in my opinion.
