The terrible music did not stop me from preordering soon as it popped up.
It's personal taste really. From what I've heard I'd prefer the new soundtrack over the old one anyday.
He and Edmund part ways for some reason. From what I've heard they likely won't ever work together again.
That sounds pretty good tbh.
This is like when your favorite band breaks up to do "solo projects". Usually because they're idiots.
I really liked the music Danny did for the original. It was sort-of upbeat (kind of...?), having a catchy tune but still fit the game nicely. It was the sort of tune you could get stuck in your head, but you liked it so much that you didn't care. I used to listen to the soundtrack all of the time when I played Isaac regularly.
The new music is still good, but it's not the same kind of good. From what I've heard, the new music is a lot creepier - which is still fitting - but it seems to have lost that "upbeat" feel to it making it a less repeatable, in my opinion.
