Final ending is weird [spoilers]
So I've just beaten the final boss and ending doesn't really make sense to me. So we have Isaac's dad narrating Isaac's story where Isaac's mom is a ♥♥♥♥♥, he himself is an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ who left his family and spent all the savings and Isaac dies because his mom forgot about him. Also why is Isaac thinking about dogmatic influence of religion at his age? Why is he afraid of his mom so much that he sees her as a monster?

Isaac just telling his story and his father "writing it". And when you think about a dogma and that cutscene its look like isaac watching too much TV and his mind is twisted bcs of that.

It's just how I see it but
His dad had problems but got over them , money might have been for paying his debts and going off clear finaly , but isaac's mom kept pushing him for it and watching those broadcasts with isaac , she went low key crazy about religion and dad left , however not just to leave them , he probably got a divorce and started fighting for his son.
Mom was going crazy now , thats why isaac saw her as a monster.
Then when father won the court and was meant to take care of isaac , thats when issac's mom decides to try and kill him , but he hides.
Here I don't have much , maybe the bible actually saved issac , maybe it was his father moving the bible? Etheir way isaac ends with his dad that is helping him recover.
He is writing down that story because well , isaac is pretty creative about it and it might turn out to be his passion in the future.
The super natural endings where issac dies/transcends or other things are probably part of isaac's story not what really happend.
This is just a wild interpetation tho.

The intro explains Isaac’s mother’s obsession with religious TV and taking it way too far, abusing him by doing things like taking his “sinful” toys and clothes from him.

Just gotta keep in mind that Isaac is canonically dead , so the final ending is not what it seems.

I think the ending may actually be like the TV show Lost's ending It's an imaginary place after death, but not quite afterlife

Maybe, there's a lot of interpretations of the ending but none of the possibly canon ones are ''happy''.

personally i think the last ending is just isaac reliving his happiest memories & creating "what if" scenarios from them

The Lost Ending where Isaacs mom Is looking for him and the wanted Poster made the most sense to me tbh

perhaps not "happy" but I'd definitely say it's the happiest.
