How are you supposed to beat this boss in stage 3 with the sword? you have to drop off the platforms to hit him, which almost guarantees you get hit. And it doesnt even do very much damage with that.

Use the charge attack and aim towards rotgut. You'll slowly but surely kill him with the laser beams. It's not a great way to kill him, but whatever works.

Alternatively, luck into Dead Dove or something. Flight works how you'd logically expect it to in crawl spaces.

When I didn't have flight I usually just ran up the second platform and ran off it and smacked him until he died. I'd just like run up, swinging the whole time shooting swords, fell off, physically hit him, stood under him a bit and hit him wiht lasers, ran up and repeat. It's wonky but fine because that shield stops a ton of the shots he sends your way.

What I did is use the ladder on the left side, which lets me get some slight airtime, enough to hit Rotgut

Unless you grabbed a range down and got no range ups, you can hit it from the left side.

range down only affect the range of the laser you send at full life (or after a spin), but size down reduce your reach, so size does matter here, like with forgotten's bone
