What's the deal with cursed eye.

Like what's the deal with it, its there a way to take the curse away? or am i going to have to deal with teleporting everywhere for the whole run if i pick it up? Like not even if you buff it up to 10 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ shots, im still not going to pick it up if it is like that, and the worst part its that the item is fun, i want to use it man it seems so fun, like can they change it or something please?
P.S: Oh so you just need to get black candle aswell, ok thanks i guess im going to enjoy using it atleast, when i get the two in one run, which is going to take time but oh well, actually now, the item is not even that good why do you need another item to make it playable? Thats just insane for me.

cursed eye is pretty good and usable without black candle,you just have to know how to dodge and the right time to start charging shots

Cursed eye is meant to be a risky tradeoff - you gain a ton of firerate and the ability to charge shots, but if you take damage while you're in the middle of charging a shot, you'll be teleported out of the room, resetting that room and potentially throwing you into a new one. If you don't want to take tradeoffs like this, the best thing you can do is avoid picking up curse room items while you have the curse of the blind. (about 1/18 chance on hard mode)

The teleportation effect only triggers while it's charging. So don't shoot like crazy if you see something hard to dodge coming your way.

bro it makes the run 100% more stressing, you say time the dodges, yeah im pretty good at dodging, but this game has some moments where you get hit out of nowhere by something, just imagine picking this item and going against Delirium or Mega Satan, yeah you've just made your game 1000% harder, good luck timing the shots when delirium teleports besides you at a 100 miles an hour, oops you got hit, start over again lol, you get what i mean? Like do you really pick it thinking you are going to have a fun time? The worst part its that the pay off its not even worth it, its a worse chocolate milk. The balance here is all over the place.

I think the teleporting effect only triggers if you are in the middle of charging the shot. If you are in a fight in which getting hit is almost unavoidable, you can "tap fire" instead of "charge fire" and you will never be teleported. I still hate the item :D but it's theoretically usable even in tough fights

Also, the teleport is specifically while partially charged; if you're full and waiting on an opening you can worry less about getting hit.

What do you expect from this game? Obviously they're not going to make every item god-tier, there's gonna be some average/bad items. There's a lot of items in this game that are mediocre unless you combo them with something and this is one of those.

It works great with certain things (Haemolacria, Triple/Quad Shot + Keeper, Eye of the Occult, Lachryphagy etc.) and it got a buff in repentance so it's not even that bad. Black Candle is a bit of a crutch, yes, but it's still got good potential

I started taking Cursed Eye in Repentance and I gotta say, this item is pretty decent.

I never take cursed eye, its just bad. Even with black candle I don't want it. Isaac is so much more enjoyable without having to charge up every shot.

It's intentionally a bad item. I hate its awkward charge shot so much I consider it reset worthy even when playing the lost
