[ Dead God ] Is it worth it?
I bought this game because I had not many others games to play and I remembered with pleasure spending 50 hours on it on launch on PS4. But since then the game is changed a lot... there is MUCH more content and, based on How Long to Beat and other people playtime, I can see completing it can take MANY hours, for sure more hours I ever spent on a single player game. Now I have 60 hours in, planning to achieve all completion mark in normal mode with all characters, but I'm a completionist and I already know I want to go for Dead God.

The question is: is it worth the hustle at the current state of the game? I'm asking specifically to those people who almost did it through Repentance or are closer to Dead God achievement. Are you happy with the time spent on this game? Thanks

You can't unlock cracked crown in Rep, some characters are very rough rn(some like T.Lazarus are borderline unfinished), some challenges and Greedier are entirely ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. I would say unlock every character and finish the ones you like, don't bother with T,Laz, T.Jacob they're ♥♥♥♥♥♥ awful and buggy as ♥♥♥♥. You also can't get the item C. Section normally so ı would wait for a major patch and then go for Dead God.

I didn't find T. Laz as bad as some people, but i wont lie, he is pretty boring. you pretty much have to explore every room in hopes that you get a decent build. I'm a little disappointed that items like birthright cant be used for every character. im sure the quality of the game will improve with patches. If you're a completionist, it is doable but id probably enjoy my time more if i had waited.

As long as it's fun for you, it's worth it, that's all there is to it. For that reason, don't feel obligated not to play with mods that make the game more fair and fun for you.

I agree with Danizk0. I play with around 250 mods that make the game more confortant for me... I don't think thats are cheat or something like that. However, is your game. Play TBOI how u like.

T. lazarus is ok sometimes, T. jacob is just crap all the time. His downside can be pretty powerful, it's just there are items that usually suck, and then a lot of good items now suck for him also, so every run just feels like the same outcome, constantly going uphill, turn into lost, dead.

Honestly, I'm loving my time spent with the game, I'm about 85% of the way there right now and still having a blast. I have spent 554 hours so far and hoping to have Dead God by 700.

I strongly recommend mods to work out the rough edges of the game. There is a couple good T.Laz mods that make him a fun character. Same with T.Jacob. Not to mention all the other great mods that just add a ton of good stuff to the game. Every day before I play, I look at the new mods released overnight and maybe pick one or two. Right now I'm sitting at close to 200 mods installed. It really gives the game a constantly evolving feel and goes a long way to keep things interesting.

That's subjective. If you like like the game and feel like it, well yeah, totally worth it. If you feel annoyed or dislike things... just leave the game wherever you want. No one forces anyone to complete things.
