I don't think Dead Onion does what it says it does
Toxic Aura tears implies some sort of poison, but it's actually larger bullets that have piercing

+which is arguably better anyways, but meh

It's piercing + spectral tears, with some shot speed down. It's pretty good, but it can be a bad thing depending on your other items. For example, absolutely do NOT get it with Brimstone!

That being said, I agree that the description is misleading. Experimental Treatment is another one that's misleading.

The tears are actually a "Toxic Aura", kind of like a gas cloud.
