Any tricks to beating hush and the lost?

How to beat the Lost: Restart till you will find a Dead Cat at the beginning, so that you start your run with 9 lives.

get a few projectile defense items that orbit around you. these will block most of the hush tears

Learn Hush's paterns, get good RNG with Chaos card, or Nine Lives.

Try and save up 879 coins in Greed mode, as that will start the lost with the Holy Mantle. Then, try to activate as many Devil deals as you can (Goat's head will help) Soon enough, you should have a great deal of damage or fire rate to finish him off.

If you have shielded tears and piercing shots, your shots will break other tears without breaking your own. It's pretty powerful and how I beat Mega Satan as the Lost.

When I beat Hush with the Lost I managed to get the Chaos + Restock combo and plundered the Hush shop for as many items as I could get. One of which was Dead Cat. Another was Bumbo.

Defensive options are almost more important that offensive options given Hush's intrinsic defenses. A full suit of orbitals, trinity shield, dead cat, holy mantle, shielded tears, gnawed leaf... things that will help forgive mistakes that you make while dodging.

Learning his pattern is your best bet. Having a little help from lady luck won't hurt either, but you can't always count on that.

If you haven't noticed already, you can stand still during his continuum tear phase. If you've fought Hush alot, you should get an eye for where to stand, when he starts shooting these, so you can get several seconds of free hits.

His tear laser can also never move faster than you can.

There's no real strat to his other attacks, so the only way to do it is to f'n do it.

If I didn't have any one of those items I would have died on the fight, and the chances of you getting that combo is pretty slim to none, so just find an op combo that woks for u

When I did it I had 9 lives + stopwatch (activates once you lose holy mantle) and just general tear/damage upgrades. Chaos card is the easiest way if you can find it. Just make sure to save it for the second form.
