Any Non-DLC Mods?

Are there any mods that don't require DLCs or are they exclusive to afterbirth and/or afterbirth+? Specifically an item description mod. I hate navigating the Wiki but I don't think it's reasonable for me to make a personal list of every item like I did with the tarot cards.

If not, is Afterbirth and Afterbirth+ worth it? Keep in mind I cannot get Repentance and I am a casual player.

Antibirth is essentially the only gameplay mod for Rebirth at the moment.

EID has a Rebirth version on Github.

you can filter by dlc as well.

and yes, ab and ab+ are worth it, so is repentance.

Would it be better to get it once I "beat" the game or as soon as possible? Just AB and AB+, since like I said I cannot get Repentance. (Spoilers just in case for anyone who has the same question as me but hasn't gotten very far in the game yet) I've beaten Mom, but have yet to beat Mom's Heart and haven't unlocked all of the characters yet, mainly that demon kid and that "take no damage for 2 floors" kid who's names i am failing to remember but do not feel like searching up.

Yeah. Plus I've been told by a friend it adds a LOT of content and I don't think it's smart to purchase a massive DLC when my life might end up getting pretty busy in the next year-ish (which is also why I've been hesitant with the other two DLCs)
