Dead God after 915+ hours

This is my favorite videogame of all time. Tbh, I feel a bit emotional right now. Been playing this game since 2015 or even before. Done a lot in life in the past 10 years and have been playing this game all along, all the way back from the original version with the sprites.

I never thought I would reach Dead God, and I kind of wish I didnt. Bittersweet moment right now. You will probably never read this, but thank you Eddie, I have had an absolute blast playing your game in the last decade. And cheers to the next decade.

Not sure if its a joke or not. Im not trying to be rude or condescending, but how is it meant to play? I thought the way to play was always have a goal of something to unlock.

Just a reference to South Park episode where the boys defeat WOW sweatlord, and finally can play the game.
Aside from completing save file, you can do winstreaks. For fun or for competition (which died out recently). Most popular Repentance categories are Eden or Tainted Lost. And you do either 1 goal each time (usually Blue Baby), or 4 goals (1st run is to Blue Baby, 2nd - Lamb, 3rd - Mother, 4th - Beast, then you repeat).

i did not mean it as a reference to south park. only meant that with everything unlocked you now have the "full game" and can experience the game as it was designed. a perspective, good or bad, on gatekeeping game effecting items behind achievements.

we've all had that one time where we forget to take a teleport card into the mom fight on a beast run

Nice. I also play this game since 2015 and I only need to make few more online daily runs to get the last ??? pill and then I also get Dead God achievement. Can't imagine that there are really people who have dead god on 3 save files without using cheats, because I have over 1000 hours playtime and play sooo much. I think this guys don't have a life

It's a roguelite, not a traditional roguelike. I enjoy having stuff locked behind achievements because then I feel like I'm working towards something instead of just replaying the same thing with no purpose.
