one of the reasons i didn't play Isaac was because I had to open the wiki for every item because of no tooltips.

There's a very popular and easy to install mod for this called - External Item Descriptions. You can just grab it from the steamworkshop and as long as you've beaten Mom it won't stop unlocks.

Edmund also said that the official item description setting is being planned to add, but nobody knows how long it will take

Also, mods require both Afterbirth DLCs to be used at all

I also don't want to spend extra money just for tooltips.

Maybe I will remember to check back in 5 years and ask again.

beating mom is simply beating the game for the first time, getting your first ending, the game grow in size massively after that.

The mod is free to install. Easy with the trolling.

The poster 3 above you said I had to buy multiple expansion packs to install the mod.

If it was free and didn't require you to play a bunch and defeat the boss to install it (with no tooltips) then I would already be playing. I am happy to install a mod if that is the solution but it doesn't sound like it is.
