It's got some performance issues, as you can imagine a flash game from the early 2010s to have. Occasional fps-drops as well as limited 30fps. Though it also has the charming graphics, making it all fit together nicely.
You will need both the main game and "Wrath of the Lamb" to have the similar base-content as Rebirth's base-game. But together they only cost 6,60€, so it's fairly cheap.
BUT it also had an update in 2015, the "Eternal Edition", for which one of the devs decided to fix a few things and even add some new content ONLY available on that version. It contains a different kind of hard-mode with new eternal versions of enemies and bosses, giving them new moves, a new room type as well as reducing the chance of a lot of strong items.
So, it does have some exclusive content not found in Rebirth.
But mostly, it really is a nice nostalgic experience for those who had played it back then.
I myself only recently went back to finish up all the achievements and to enjoy that final update.
Agreed. I used to love flash Isaac - I mean, it's what made me fall in love with Isaac in the first place. Buy playing it today... nah.
should have known the issac community would be like this tho with how long ive been here
and besides your own post doesn't exactly help either
if you're gonna share your opinion you could at least explain your reasons couldn't you?
(this is mostly for the first two people. the ones who explained why it was and wasn't worth it)
I could. But you couldn't even be bothered to explain what you would be looking for in the original Isaac or what would make it "worth it" to you. So why should anyone take the time and provide a comprehensive essay on all the details on the off-chance that something of that might be what you are looking for? Ask sensible questions and you might get useful answers.
