The funny thing is that your "almost guarantee" is absolutely wrong. LMAOOOOOOOO. Doing something "extremely wrong" would be throwing. I'm not new to Isaac. I'd beaten Delirium 2 or 3 times before making this post. I didn't stop moving. You just admitted that Delirium isn't the fairest boss. The only embellishment here is that the fight was less than a minute. I didn't time it but it certainly felt that short. He telefragged me from beginning to end while transforming into random ♥♥♥♥ throughout. There were no breaks. It was absolutely ridiculous.
And now, I have beaten Delirium on Hard mode, 2/2 times I have encountered him so far. So I think this is a skill issue.
I never noticed any unfair damage, unclear what the problem is in your case. Why don't you try recording a video and uploading it to yt?
There was an acknowledgement that some folks would be upset that the long rumored Void/Delirium stuff was not going to happen as well as a few other things, but it's been over 7 years of development or something and some other thangs. It was on their twitter or something, someone linked it earlier.
I would've liked to see what else they could come up with for the Void - there were some really cool ideas floating around for awhile - but I'm also pretty happy with the game.
