The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth

The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth

Angel deals and devil deals in one run.
After paying one red heart for dark bum, later on, I used the sacrifice room and it teleported me to an angel room, this angel room had scapular and I gained both key peices and holy water shortly after. I think that with both 'you feel blessed' signs, scapular and the key peices, yuo can get angel deals and devil deals. Through the rest of the run, I received multiple of both deals with the devil and deals with the angel.

dear weeaboo,

yes, the message "you feel blessed" is one of two potential outcomes for that particular sacrifice and they do increase your odds.

I thought taking a Devil Deal by paying with health made it impossible to gain an Angel Room.

No, it just gives you devil room precedent. You can still get an angel room later on if you turn down/miss a devil deal.
It's been known since the first Isaac that taking a devil deal by paying health will nullify your Angel room chances.

Fun fact: it doesn't
Fun Fact 2: It does. According to Missing HUD 2 and both wiki's, one is unable to get Angel deals after a deal with the devil.
By the way, you are only 42 hours in, so I guess you aren't saying this from personal experience, but rather from some wrong source?

It does.

It's tricky, because you have to specifically enter a Devil Room and pay health.

Entering the Devil Room, taking items from Red Chests in the Devil Room, and taking Devil Deals items without paying health (via Credit Card or Diplopia) do NOT remove your ability to spawn Angel Rooms.

OP: The sacrifice Angel room isn't affected at all by the "took a devil deal" thing. You can't be "forgiven" by any means in a run once you took a Devil deal (paying health).

Also, you did not take a devil deal. Giving health to a dark bum is a completely different thing, so Angel rooms are not affected.

By the way, "you feel blessed" only means you got some soul hearts or increased their drop chance. Angel/Devil rooms don't care about this stat.

You have no idea how many lost/keeper runs ended up having 0 angel rooms or not having enough by the time I happened to make it to mega satan.

That's just how the Sacrifice Room works.

At a specific number of sacrifices made, you have a chance to get teleported to an Angel Room directly, if a Devil Room has not been seen yet on that floor.

Also, playing the Sacrifice Room can cause a "You feel blessed"-message to pop up. Not only does that increase your chances of getting an Angel Room over a Devil Room, but it still does, if you've already taken a devil-deal on a previous floor.

The "You feel blessed"-effect counts for that floor only.

In short, you can still get Angel Rooms, even you've made a deal with the devil, if you play Sacrifice Rooms. Check the wiki to learn, what each number of sacrifices does for that floor.
