Or am i missing something? This really bothers me cause its not skill related; you have to take damage to progress. This sucks, this is cheap and makes a hard floor even harder without any reason.

The eyed spike thing can trigger the buttons. This one doesn't go back to its spawn after moving, so you can lure it across the room to press the buttons.

On the first screenshot, go under it to make it move to the bottom rock, then either left or right, then up, then right and left to trigger the buttons.

On the second one, you'll need to make it go down before breaking the poop (it doesn't really matter but it would be faster), then trigger the top button. Break the poop and lure the thing to the second button. Done.

Also, the thing doesn't get deactivated after pressing all buttons, I think, so be careful even after clearing the room.

The spikey thing can also press the buttons. You have to guide it towards them.

Use the Eye Spike block to destroy the rocks.

Do you want a tip screen to pop up and say "btw these push buttons?" Trial and error my dude, it's a new mechanic.
