Even for fun, i don't think i'll play those character. The only way i can see myself playing those two again is because i choose "Random" and got unlucky.
Buff one of them and turn the other one into a guinea pig for pills + lame items. Keep them together most of the time, unless the room has a tight corridor. If it does, make use of your ability to keep Esau still. Don't get flight if it means that only one of the brothers is going to fly. Spread health evenly.
hardest part of J&E is the first couple of floors before you can make use of the extra items and stack them up. one thing to remember op is that you dont even have to send Esau out in some rooms, just hold ctrl and clear the room as Jacob so you dont lose all your health getting him stuck on something.
Are you playing with a keyboard, or a controller? using the 'ol xbox360 controller i've found them damn near impossible to do anything with as the default keybindings make zero sense for switching between characters items.
A good way to start a game with them is with a library on the first floor, if you get a book that gives you health, you can allow yourself to accumulate life with one of them and thus survive longer
Delirium is just a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ boss, the fight is stupid for any character
